New research suggests that UK small business owners are spending almost twice as much time on administration as they are on growth. It’s easy to see how it happens. When you are building a business, doing everything yourself can feel like the most sensible option. Bookkeeping, invoicing, marketing and day-to-day admin all need to be done, but collectively they can take up a significant amount of time that could be spent winning new business, developing your team or planning what comes next. Putting the right systems and support in place isn’t simply about reducing your workload. It can give you back the time and headspace to focus on the areas where you add the most value. An interesting read for any business owner who feels there are never quite enough hours in the week.
